Both program sites offer co-op preschool classes for three-, four- and five-year-old children. Parent assist in the classroom on a rotating basis, and have additional responsibilities to ensure a quality preschool experience for their children at a reasonable cost.
In addition, a Second Year Toddler class is located at the Alpine site. Parents and their two- to three-year-old children attend the weekly class together for stimulating preschool experiences, socialization and parent education.
NEW! There is a good possibility that a Second Year Toddler class, as described above at the Alpine site, will be added at the Carnation location, if there is enough interest to fill a class! Please help us spread the word about this terrific opportunity for our community! Interested parents should call the Parent Education Registrar at 425-564-2365 and tell her you are interested in a Second Year Toddler class in Carnation. She will ask for your name and contact information, but there is no need for payment until a final decision on the class viability is final.
2008-2009 registration for everyone began February 4, 2008. Please see the specific page above for the preschool site in which you are interested!
Our mission is to provide appropriate play and learning experiences that contribute to the intellectual, emotional and physical growth of each child; prepare them for future learning and school success; and confirm that all children are filled with dignity, goodness, and have incredible potential for discovery, education and development. As part of Bellevue Community College's Parent Education Program, parents participate in their children's education and receive parent education instruction.
Research clearly indicates meaningful parent involvement in schools is one of the most powerful predictors of high student achievement and healthy development. During the early years, there is no better way to begin this involvement than by joining the Bellevue Community College Parent Education Program.
Our motto is "Parents and children learning and growing together!"
